We started because solar was being sold badly
Too many families across Melbourne’s south-east were being sold a system over the phone by a company they’d never see again.
Panels went up on the wrong side of the roof. Systems were sized to hit a price, not a power bill. Rebate paperwork was handed back to the customer to figure out. And when an inverter fault appeared two winters later, the number rang out.
Solaraide was built as the opposite of that. We’re a local retailer with our own accredited installers — not a lead-generation front that subcontracts your roof to whoever is cheapest that week. Every system is designed around the bills you actually pay, quoted in writing, and installed by the same team that surveyed it.
Since 2016 we’ve grown mostly through neighbours telling neighbours, which is the only marketing that survives a bad install. That’s also why we became a Clean Energy Council Approved Solar Retailer: it holds us to a code of conduct with real teeth on sales practice, warranties and after-sales support.
Today we cover the whole south-east growth corridor from Dandenong to Pakenham, plus Dubbo and regional NSW — with solar, battery storage, EV charging and hot water under one roof, so your energy setup grows without a new contractor each time.
