SolarAide is a trading name of AAMCO Pty Ltd (“Solar Aide”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information through solaraide.com.au, our quote forms, phone and email enquiries, and our solar, battery, EV-charging and related services.
What we collect
We only collect information we reasonably need to serve you:
- To quote and install: your name, address, contact details (email and phone), energy usage, property details, and where relevant financial information for finance or eligibility assessments.
- Website usage: IP address, browser type, and cookies for analytics (for example, Google Analytics).
- Marketing (optional): your preferences, only where you have consented.
We collect sensitive information (for example, health information relevant to a life-support or medical-equipment installation) only with your consent and only where necessary for a safe installation.
How we collect it
- Directly — through website forms, emails, phone calls and in-person meetings.
- Indirectly — through analytics tools and trusted third-party services (for example, payment or finance providers).

How we use and disclose it
Primary purposes — to prepare solar, battery and EV-charging quotes, deliver compliant installations, provide support, and follow up on your enquiry.
Secondary purposes — internal administration, and marketing only where you have given express consent.

- accredited installers, contractors and suppliers, to deliver your system;
- service providers such as hosting, CRM and payment/finance providers, who are bound by confidentiality;
- regulators and authorities (for example, the Clean Energy Council, Solar Victoria or the ATO) where required.
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We do not disclose it overseas as a routine part of our services, and will notify you if that ever changes.
Direct marketing
Transactional messages (such as quote and installation updates) are part of providing our service. Promotional emails, SMS or calls are sent only with your opt-in consent, always include an easy way to opt out (unsubscribe or reply STOP), and we respect the Do Not Call Register.
Cookies and website data
We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used (this data is not personally identifying). Third-party links, such as our social media profiles, have their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us to access, update or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days), and there is generally no charge.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on 1300 363 992 or at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints. Where required, we will notify you and the OAIC of any eligible data breach.
