Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of the Solar Aide website and the quotes and services we provide. Solar Aide is a trading name of AAMCO Pty Ltd. By requesting a quote or engaging us, you agree to these terms. They do not exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. About us
Solaraide supplies and installs solar, battery storage, EV chargers, hot water and air-conditioning systems across Melbourne and surrounding areas. We are a Clean Energy Council Approved Solar Retailer, Solar Victoria accredited, and a New Energy Tech Approved Seller.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide and, where applicable, a site inspection. A quote is an estimate, not a fixed contract, and is valid for the period stated on it. Final pricing may change if site conditions, your usage, roof type, switchboard, or rebate eligibility differ from what was assumed. Any change will be confirmed with you before work proceeds.
3. Rebates and incentives
Where a quote includes a Solar Victoria rebate, federal STCs, or other incentive as a reduction in price, you authorise us to apply for and, where relevant, receive that benefit on your behalf, and you agree to provide the information and signatures reasonably required. We do not guarantee eligibility. If a rebate or incentive we relied on is not received for reasons outside our control, we may adjust the price by the corresponding amount after notifying you.
4. Your agreement to proceed
A binding installation agreement is formed when you accept a written quote and we confirm acceptance. That agreement, together with any special conditions and these terms, sets out the full scope, price and warranties. For residential customers, cooling-off rights under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code and applicable law apply.
5. Access and site requirements
You agree to give us safe and reasonable access to your property to inspect and install, to confirm you own the property or have the owner’s permission, and to obtain any consents required (for example, from an owners corporation or your energy network). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us about your property.
6. Installation and approvals
We install in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, Australian Standards, and good industry practice, using accredited installers. Where you authorise us to arrange your energy-network connection approval, we will not energise the system until that approval is granted.
7. Warranties
We warrant our workmanship, and manufacturer warranties apply to the products we supply, for the periods stated in your agreement. These are in addition to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. We are not responsible for faults caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, extreme weather, or pre-existing issues with your property or electrical installation.
8. Payment
Payment terms are set out in your quote and agreement. Deposits, where applicable, are handled as described there. Where finance is offered, it is provided by a third-party approved financier under a separate agreement, and any questions about that finance should be directed to them.
9. Life-support and appliances
If anyone at the property relies on life-support or medical equipment, you must tell us before installation so we can plan safely. Commissioning may require power to be switched off and restored; before this you should switch off and, where practicable, unplug appliances, and tell us in writing of any sensitive, medical or known-faulty equipment. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage to appliances caused by a pre-existing fault or by failure to follow this clause.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel within any applicable cooling-off period at no cost. After that, cancellation may incur reasonable costs actually incurred by us, as described in your agreement. We may cancel and provide a full refund if circumstances beyond our reasonable control (such as component shortages or regulatory restrictions) make it impracticable or unsafe to proceed.
11. Website use
The content on this website is provided for general information. While we take care to keep it accurate, we do not warrant it is complete or current, and it does not constitute a quote or professional advice. All content, branding and design on this site remain our property or that of our licensors.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to re-supplying, repairing, or paying the cost of re-supplying or repairing the relevant goods or services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Complaints and disputes
If you have a concern, contact us first at info@solaraide.com.au or 1300 158 441 and we will work to resolve it. If it remains unresolved, you may escalate to the administrator of the New Energy Tech Consumer Code or to your state consumer-affairs body.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
